Why we choose Bulgari Hotel London

The place for quiet glamour, elegance and sumptuous guestrooms; relax in high style

  • Suite guests are indulged with full butler service
  • Even entry-level bedrooms average 467 square feet
  • The Cigar Shop and Sampling Lounge offers vintage and rare cigars

The new Bulgari London is a small-ish gem for people who refuse to settle. You don’t even need to enter the hotel to know you’re in for something special. The façade is Portland stone, the same material used for St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and other British national treasures. And bronze accents are everywhere—from the door and window fixtures on the ground floor to the roof cornice to the terrace bar’s sculptural balustrade. This is no bait-and-switch: The goods inside are as delightful as the goods outside.

Any room! They are all spacious and very comfortable.

What you need to know about the hotel

Classic glamour, modern aesthetics and a stunning line-up of amenities

  • The luxe spa sprawls over two floors and includes a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, vitality pool and 12 treatment rooms
  • Magnificent Bulgari Suites are studies in expansive luxury, some with open fireplaces and balconies and all with jaw-dropping views
  • The 47-seat cinema is an exclusive space for viewing the specially curated library of 200+ new and classic films

The Bulgari Hotel was surely built with a “spare no expense” attitude. For starters, there’s silver everywhere—a link to both the silversmith tradition at Bulgari and British culture. All of the 85 rooms are breathtaking, with exquisite finishes—silk, marble, leather—but if you want a higher level of service, pick one of the suites, which come with stellar butler service. Not only do the butlers welcome you to the suite and unpack for you, but they also serve in-room dining orders day or night, as well as act as liaison for any request.

Elsewhere in the hotel, the series of restaurant and lounge spaces—with cuisine ranging from Italian to traditional British tea fare—are a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. If you prefer, the private dining rooms offer a more intimate atmosphere for romance, business or small parties. It’s a similar experience in the spa, which has a spectacular menu plus visual treats in the form of onyx, Vicenza stone and Italian glass mosaics.

Where is it and what's nearby

This Knightsbridge luxury hotel puts top attractions and shopping at your doorstep

  • Hyde Park is known for its massive greenspaces, but don’t miss a boat ride on the Serpentine while there
  • In between shopping for high-end clothing, wander through the intriguing food halls at Harrods
  • Want to put a face with famous names? Hit the National Portrait Gallery for paintings of historical figures

Bulgari Hotel London managed to snag some real estate in Knightsbridge, London’s most prestigious area. It’s located in front of Hyde Park—the largest royal park in the city—and is a short walk to the shopping mecca known as Harrods. But whether it’s fabulous shopping, renowned restaurants or some of the most important cultural and historic landmarks in the world, you’re never far from whatever appeals to you. London has it all, and the Bulgari makes a great respite when you’re done seeing it all.

How to enjoy London

From the fine art galleries of Mayfair and St James  (bring your wallet, this art is for sale) to the elegant terraces surrounding Regent’s Park, sophisticated London abounds. For an edgier side to the city, head to Soho, for the excellent restaurants

  • Explore Shepherd Market, a tiny backstreet square where London’s glitterati of Royals and A-listers go to club and dine
  • To see London from the highest vantage point, take the express lift (no elevators in these parts) to the newly opened observation platform on The Shard
  • Upmarket shopping can be found on Bond Street, South Molton Street and Savile Row. For one-offs and independents, explore the boutiques of King’s Road. Borough Market is perfect to explore stalls featuring local produce, and don’t forget the antique shops on Portobello Road.

Nowhere best captures the understated glamour, impeccable manners and intriguing idiosyncrasies of the British upper classes than the streets around Mayfair. To get up close and personal, however, you have to join in the traditions. Tea at The Ritz or Claridges is a must. (It’s even listed as a proper meal alongside breakfast, lunch and dinner on their menus). Don’t forget an appointment with your man in Jermyn Street (for exquisitely tailored shirts and suits).

For more quintessentially English experiences venture away from the central hub of Mayfair. South of the river there’s Wimbledon. Outside of the tournament, visit the tennis club. It has a museum and drips wealth. The boutiques and cafes of Wimbledon Village are worth an afternoon too. Finally, don’t forget the Queen. It would be rude not to stop by if you are in town. Buckingham Palace does tours. A tourist honeypot, but you can book exclusive tours of the State Rooms.
