Why we choose The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto

Cool and contemporary vibe for sparkling Toronto’s city slickers

  • Unforgettable dining; the cheese cave and pastry corridor gives this restaurant a cutting edge
  • Expansive Spa My Blend by Clarins offers pared down indulgence
  • Ritz-Carlton Club Level makes all day grazing hard to resist

Floor-to-ceiling refinement in this uberluxe but very contemporary city hotel. Attention-grabbing chandeliers meet calm, elegant color palettes, with state of the art updates throughout. This hotel is certainly a head turner.

  • Seriously good bar snacks and trendy social scene at Ritz Bar
  • Spa My Blend by Clarins will tailor treatments specifically to your needs

Where is it and what's nearby

Located on Wellington Street West in Toronto’s Entertainment District

  • Spectacular views from every room, but ask for the best views of the CN Tower and Lake Ontario
  • Find pretty city parks on either side of the hotel with theaters, the Financial District, Lake Ontario and plenty more within walking distance

This is a prime location, surrounded by a vibrant city packed with restaurants, entertainment and bags of opportunities for the visiting tourist.

Equally, the slick vibe of this chic urban hotel attracts locals, especially from the movie industry, as a place to meet and mingle.

How to enjoy Toronto

With striking architecture and a cultural scene that embraces everything from fine art to indie music, Toronto is a buzzing city with a laid back feel

  • Head to the Air Canada Centre for Maple Leaf hockey home games or major touring acts such as Alicia Keys, Beyoncé or Green Day
  • The Annex of Yorkville is where to go for exclusive shopping, including labels such as Gucci and Vera Wang as well as the upscale department store, Holt Renfrew
  • Niagara Falls is just across Lake Ontario and makes for a sensational day trip. For the ultimate view, consider a heli-tour

For a sense of old Toronto, explore the Distillery District. It features charming brick-paved pedestrian streets and strikingly restored Victorian industrial buildings. It is home to theaters, restaurants, and galleries, as well as bijou fashion boutiques and jewelry stores. For colorful food and farmers’ markets, explore the stalls and stores of the popular St Lawrence Market.

No trip to Toronto would be authentic without a visit to the CN Tower. At a height of 1,815 feet, it is one of the tallest buildings in the world and offers a range of vertiginous thrills. The most sedate of these is the 3600 Restaurant which gives you the opportunity to savor an award-winning menu (melt in the mouth lobster and steak) while admiring the revolving view. If you are a little more daring, try to step out on the glass floor. If you are an adrenaline junkie, go for the edge walk. It is too scary to describe, so we’ll just say one word: outside.

    When to visit Toronto

Winter can get cold, seriously cold, although the city tries to protect its people by providing subterranean walkways to the downtown stores and offices. The arts festival North By Northeast takes place over a week in June and includes music, film, comedy, interactive presentations and art.

  • A word from the hotel

We offer a taste of all things Canadian. From the art work throughout the Hotel, to the cheese and wine in TOCA Restaurant.

  • We say

The Rooftop bar is the new ’hot spot’, be sure to try the yummy bar snacks!

  • A word from the hotel

Aside from our very own restaurant, our vibrant neighborhood is full of fantastic local restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. Go explore and mix with the locals, no better way to explore a city!
